Benevolence Committee
- To assist members who need help with utilities, food assistance or other areas the church can assist with
Children's Ministry
- To present church on a children’s level
- Provide nursery services as needed
- Prepare our young people for main sanctuary worship
- Be responsible for providing our Easter and Christmas programs
- Meets every 1st, 2nd and 3rd Sundays at 8:15 a.m.
- For ages seventeen and under
Church Decorations/Special Events
- To keep the church decorated
- To periodically change floral arrangements in sanctuary and vestibule
- To provide set up for all church functions
Congregational Aides
- To greet and assist members and visitors with seating
- To attend to the needs of the congregants as needed
Counselors For Christ
- To greet the prospective members as they unite
- Follow up with phone calls
- Give prospective new members an understanding of orientation
- Ensure completion of orientation
- Meets every Saturday before the fourth Sunday at 12:00 noon
Deacons Ministry
- To assist the Pastor with Church matters such as business needs
- To serve in any capacity as needed
Deaconess/Minister’s Wives
- To prepare candidates for baptism
- To set up for Communion
- To assist ministers and deacons as needed
First Lady’s Aide Committee
- To aide and assist our First Lady as needed
Greater Connection
- To Assist with changes /updates to member’s information
- Assist Visitors as needed
- Complete Greater Connect Form
Greeters/Hospitality
- To greet members and visitors coming to worship service
- To provide hospitality at wake/funeral services
Health Ministry
- To provide health education and encourage healthy lifestyles among those who are in attendance
- Provide Annual Health screenings/Health Fair to the Church and the Community
- Mammograms
- HIV Testing
- Prostate Exam
- Glucose Testing
- Cholesterol Testing
Kitchen Ministry
- To serve food at special occasions (funerals and annual days)
- To make sure kitchen is cleaned at the end of each function
Married Couples Ministry
- To provide ministry for married couples
- To organize retreat, seminars and the like; to enhance the married life of our married members
Media Ministry
- Assist in the production of live stream through our Website, Facebook and YouTube Page
- To make effective use of media related equipment so that our church would be duly informed
Music Ministry
- Provides Ministry through Song for every Worship Experience
- To provide singing as scheduled
- To set the atmosphere conducive for worship
- To support all scheduled outings of the Pastor and church
Adult Choir
- Render song service
- Attend scheduled rehearsals
- Abide by GPL Ministry rules
- Provide singing as needed either at Greater or a visiting church
Brothers Of Unity
- To provide singing on the second Sunday of each month
- To get involved in brotherly activities
- To lend support in church functions
- Responsible for organizing Men’s Annual Month (Men/Boys Conference & Men’s Annual Day
- Meets every other month on the Thursday before second Sunday for fellowship
Little Lights
- To render song service at 8:15 a.m. service on the fourth Sunday of each month
- To be responsible for the Little Light program on the third Sunday in August at 11:00 a.m.
- For ages twelve and under
Young Adult Choir
- To provide singing on the fourth Sunday of each month
- For ages eighteen through thirty-five
Youth Choir
- To provide singing on the fourth Sunday of each month
- For ages thirteen thru seventeen
Orientation
- To introduce new members to GPL
- Contact new members to ensure orientation attendance (a prerequisite to receiving the right hand of fellowship and working in ministry)
S.A.N.E. (Seeking Alcohol and Narcotics Education)
- To provide education in the area of alcohol and narcotics
- To meet for the purpose of encouragement for those who are overcomers
Scholarship Committee
- To come up with fundraisers to fund true scholarships for active members of GPL
- To provide care gifts periodically
Seniors Ministry
- To target our elderly for the purpose of giving them information to help assist all seniors with living
- For ages sixty and up
Sick and Bereaved Ministry
- To contact and visit our sick and bereaved members
- To lend comfort during their trying time
- Administrative Assistant will keep ministry leader abreast of the sick members and bereaved families
- To be ready for prayer as needed
- To contact Church Administrative Assistance with information concerning the sick/bereaved
Singles Ministry
- To provide information for singles to help them with their walk with God
- To show them that they can be single and saved
Sunday School
- To enhance our Biblical knowledge of God’s Word through specific lessons found throughout the Bible
- Meets every Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
- There is a class for every age group
Transportation Ministry
- Transportation for members who live in a twenty miles radius for Sunday morning Service
Video Ministry
- To video services to air on our television broadcast
- To video as needed
Women United Through Christ
- To target the women of our church through ministry that’s helpful to our women
Worship and Arts (Praise Dance)
- To praise God through dancing
Worship and Arts (Drama)
- To create plays or Biblical reenactments
- To worship God through acting
Young Adults
- To minister to the young adults of our church through Bible Study and other interactions that glorify God
- For ages eighteen through thirty-five
